To be honest, 2020 was an exhausting year for everyone. However, one way to cope with stress and how I personally and a lot of others coped with the crushing doomsday that was 2020, was music.

Music is such a versatile thing. No matter how commonplace or snooty your taste in music may be, there will always be something for you out there. There are so many genres and styles and techniques that all people can have exactly the music they need to relax. For some, that may be energetic musicals like Hamilton, Heathers, or Beetlejuice. For others, it may be something like instrumental lofi.

Personally, a couple of my favorite songs of 2020 are “F2020” by Avenue Beat, “Twister” from the concept album for Willow, a musical made by Averno, and “Minefields” by Faouzia featuring John Legend.

If the year-end 2020 Billboard charts show anything, it’s that music was such a simple and easy thing that people could latch onto in the chaos of 2020.

Here’s the list of the top 15 songs of 2020 at the year’s end according to Billboard.
